Since his election, Andrade has worked to pass conservative, pro-military, pro-life and small government legislation. He is most proud of his sponsorship of HB 7105, which provides benefits for families of members of our armed forces and of first responders who make the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
In the past year, Andrade sponsored and passed HB 7B banning the state from enforcing vaccine mandates, and HB 5C to fight against big tech censorship and carve-outs for big corporations.
Andrade has a 100% Pro-Life voting record and has worked tirelessly to protect and defend your 2nd Amendment rights. Andrade consistently supports Governor DeSantis and has successfully worked to pass bills that help Keep Florida Free. In the wake of COVID-19, Andrade continues to work to protect Floridians from government overreach, and help our economy recover.
Andrade has helped pass a ban on sanctuary cities in Florida, requirements for E-Verify and increased protections for the 2nd Amendment.
Andrade is a true fiscal conservative, who has always voted to keep Florida's budget balanced and has helped provide over $100 million in tax cuts for all Floridians.
In 2017, Governor Scott appointed Representative Alex Andrade as a judicial nominating commissioner to help vet judicial candidates for the Governor's appointment. Representative Andrade was subsequently reappointed by Governor DeSantis to continue serving as a commissioner.
Andrade lives in Pensacola with his wife, Jessica, and their two dogs, Dash and Jake.
In his free time, Andrade helps run Onbikes Pensacola, a charity he co-founded, which has provided thousands of bicycles to children in Northwest Florida.
